Update: After 2 months of use, it constantly disconnects from my xbox. Its almost unbearable to use. Do not buy, I can only imagine what im going to lose reselling them.Overall the headset is really good, but I there are a few things keeping it from 5 stars.Cons:-It takes too long to turn on-It randomly turns off, which then takes forever to turn back on-It does not like to charge with the provided cable and several other micro-usb cables.Pros:-Comfortable-Good battery life-Friends say that the mic quality is great-Sound quality is great-Super easy to connect to all bluetooth devices i.e. phone, laptop, xboxI would rate the headset 5 stars but the cons are pretty annoying. If the issues somehow go away I will update the rating.
I ignored the reviews and bought these because just about every "expert" gamer website said these are the best for the Xbox. When they work, they are great. The sound is amazing. I could hear leaves rustling in Assassins Creed Odyssey. But the problem is they work for a little bit and then distort. Last night, the second night I owned them, they kept disconnecting. I think they did it 5 times in a half hour. I'm giving up on these "gamer" headphones and I'm going to buy pair of Sennheisers. I don't chat anyway.
The arctis 9x is a good headset for the value. I've had no problems or disconnection issues, when it comes to either using the Bluetooth or WiFi direct connect with the Xbox. I would recommend this headset to others who are interested. Battery life is correctly as advertised depending on volume level. The microphone for the 9x is quite crystal clear from the feedback I've received from other player's. The Mic can also retracted and extended for when you choose to decide if you need to use the mic. If you press the mute button on the headset itself. There is a red LED light indicator on the microphone main unit that indicates that you're currently muted. The sound isolation is excellent for the microphone, you don't get any hints of background noise unless it's above certain high volume level of sound/noises Etc. Sound quality is good however I'd recommend the virtual surround sound from Dolby Atmos. Windows sonic virtual surround is just ok but sometimes it seems quite off, but others could argue. I understand that the grand total price point may seem much, but I highly recommend the Arctic 9x.
