Was looking for a decent stand for my Switch but most stands were either plastic or some really obscure off-brand. This stand came out of the blue and I decided "why not" given I trust the brand of PowerA with my wired controller. The stand came in a day earlier then what was posted which was pleasing itself, as for the stand, I was absolutely delighted to feel the weight. It's a little small but the design is beautiful. The black hooks that hold the Switch and the black "U" shaped lining is a different material compared to the rest of the Gold finish, preventing any scratches it could have caused. You won't have to worry about it tipping or something of a similar fashion given the sturdiness of the build.I'd give it 4 out of 5 only because of the size, but don't let that discourage you. Its still a solid buy if you're looking for a stand and some flavor as well. This is my first review and I'm pretty high. I hope you guys find this helpful.
Sturdy, this thing has some heft. Unlike some of the cheap ones, this will not topple over when playing in vertical mode. This may even hold your system securely during an earthquake, barring any falling objects. Safety first: always play your switch in a doorway during an earthquake—it’s safer there.
This is an excellent stand for the Nintendo Switch by PowerA. Compared to the Hori Playstand, PowerA's stand offers a much greater degree of freedom with regards to its vertical viewing angle. It is heavier and sturdier than Hori's offering, and it is less likely to collapse if you bump it the wrong way. This stand looks cool and is made out of metal. I enjoy it every time I use it!If you don't have a stand yet for the Nintendo Switch, consider getting this ASAP; the Switch's kickstand is horrible, after all. If you have the Hori Playstand or a similar offering and you aren't entirely satisfied, consider this as a worthwhile upgrade.
