  1. Apparently not all machines are capable of playing Blu-ray. None of mine were able to play this disk. Had to reorder.

  2. Ovbiously, I have not seen the film either, for it has not been released yet.
But, I do have something to claim:
Guillermo del Toro may be and may not be a good filmamamker and I seriously doubt his ability to adapt comics into film form.
I have watched Blade 2 and, being a huge fan of the first one, have come to the conclusion that (as a filmmaker myself) Blade 2 is the third worst film that I have ever seen.
The first is The Matrix: Reloaded and the second is The Matrix: Revolutions.

Blade 2 was garbage. It was a terrible and hediously pathetic version of who the Blade character really is.
The film is filled with kung-fu fighting zombie vampires, a plot that sucked worse than the makeup, and an unlimited use of cgi beyond comprehension.
I am doubting Guillermo del Toro but I am not doubting Hellboy.

After viewing the trailer, I find it hard to believe that it comes from the same director as Blade 2.
The cgi actually looks proper, its cast is excellent, and the story is sticking to the comic books.

I will be in line for this film on its opening night.

  3. Hellboy has to be the most overrated piece of crap since Spiderman 2 and the worst comic book movie next to those other duds(Daredevil,The Hulk). Ron Perlman is really badly casted as the main character Hellboy and the other actors/actresses were wasted as well, The storyline deals with Hellboy battling monsters and trying to kill a villian with the help of others. Hellboy seemed like a Sci/Fi channel movie than a comic book movie and the special effects looked like the kind you see on Power Rangers. the real hell is watching 125 minutes(PG-13 version) or 131 minutes(Director’s Cut) on a mess like this. PLEASE AMAZON PUT A ZERO STAR RATING BECAUSE FILM S LIKE THESE AND OTHERS DESERVE IT.

  4. this movie sucks. action is unevenly spaced and all hellboy does is run around with his stupid one liners every time he fights. this is just schwarznegger or steven segal all decked out in red. gimme a break.

  5. Of course I have not yet seen the film so I can’t really say this movie is awesome and such. But putting the peices together from A. The Trailer B. The Comics and C. the Director all of these things that factor in and give this film tremendous potential. The title character looks AWESOME, especially since he is not full CGI. The Director Mr. Del Toro knows his stuff and after doing Blade 2 I am confident he has his facts straight as far as comic book adaptions go. And if you lok back at the original source material for Hellboy(the comics), then we have a pretty epic fun ride of a film ahead of us.
